Longton Park Pools
Stone Private AC are pleased to announce that as from 1st June 2019 both lakes at Longton Park will be available to our members
Both lakes are very disabled friendly.
Longton Park Pools
This pool is a little larger than the Wild's pools. It can accommodate approximately 10 anglers
We are hoping in the near future to put in disabled access to this pool, with a designated peg for disabled/wheelchair user's
It has some water lillies in the pool
This pool contains, Carp mirror and common, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Bream, Tench. Pike and the occasional Eel.
Hobbergate Pool
The stretch is from Bridge 43 Bullocks Bridge to Bridge 46 Knighton
Unfortunately, at the moment there is no access to the canal at Knighton
Postcode for access via the aqueduct at Shebdon is ST20 0PY
Postcode for access at Shebdon bridge 44 is ST20 0PT
This stretch has in the past held National matches, there is some good fishing to be had on this section.
Shropshire Union Canal
This pool can accommodate approximately 20 anglers
This pool has a designated peg and easy access for disabled/wheelchair user's
It has large bed of water lilies in front of pegs 1 & 2
There is also a small island that has about 3 or 4 pegs on it
This pool contains, Carp mirror and common, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Bream & Tench
No Night Fishing Allowed.
Wilds Farm Pool
This pool can accommodate approximately 18 anglers
This pool has a designated peg and easy access for disabled/wheelchair user's
It has a couple of areas where there are Lilly pads
There is also a small island
This pool contains, Carp mirror and common, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Bream & Tench
No Night Fishing Allowed
Will members please note that night fishing is not allowed on Wild's farm pool or Wild's top pool.
We do not issue day tickets to fish these pools. A club member can purchase a guest ticket to take someone to fish the pools, but no day tickets.
Wilds Top Pool
Fish the canal
From lock 26 Aston up to lock 33 Meaford locks.
Stone And District Canal
Lady Corner pool is on Parkhall Road near to the old gasometer Adderley Green
Lady Corner Pool
This stretch is controlled by Bibbys & Stone & District AC but we've secured a deal to allow our members to fish
Parking is in the Canoe club, or just outside on the road ST158QW
Fishing is on the Town side of the river not the A34 side (hope this makes sense)
The stretch is roughly 300 yards upstream, as far as you can walk until you come to a hedge and 500 yards downstream from the bridge until you come to a double fence opposite some bungalows
